So I stumbled across this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FB1VZPuxDA ) and Lance first starts with articulation, using a straw to teach the how-to. I used this with my beginner classes (we are heterogenous, including percussion) and it WORKED!! All we had to do was define where the tongue strikes and the kiddos have been articulating! It’s even helped those who like to articulate using their air patterns instead of the tongue. 🙂
